There have been many updates and improvements in my services over the last few months so I created this page to let YOU know what is going on at Website Ministries. Several of you have received notices concerning your site and phishing scams. Just to clarify, your site has not been compromised. There is a feature in cpanel that allows domains to be accessed using your domain as a starting url and then point the user to a different site. Although this is something that is less than desirable, it does not affect the security of your site. I am working to see if we can keep this from happening at all, but until then rest assured your site is still secure.

It is a new year and I have been very busy with website projects. God has been so good to me. With all of the work coming in, I have had to put together a waiting list. If you are interested in me working on your site this year please contact me so I can reserve a slot for you on the 2010 wait list. It isn't a contract, it just lets me plan ahead and let others know an approximate start date for their upcoming projects.

We are getting close to Thanksgiving (my favorite holdiay) and I want to take a moment to say a big "Thank You" to all of my friends who's websites I have had the opportunity to work on throughout this year. You have made this year a huge success and I want everyone to know what a great group of people you are to work with. I also want to specifically thank the Lord for His blessings this year. I know the year isn't over, but as I look back at this year I am amazed at how much God has helped with my website work. He is truly a great God and I look forward to seeing what He has in store for the rest of 2009 and 2010 at Website Ministries.

The last two weeks have been busy for me. It looks like I will be setting up an online store for the HSBC campus bookstore. That will be an exciting project and I am looking forward to working on it. In addition to website work, there has been an increase in requests for things like newsletter designs and business cards. I don't have these items listed as part of my design services, but as a website designer my job is to help you market your ministry which can involve doing more than just websites. If you are interested in me working on your next business card or newsletter template please contact me.

It has been a long time since I posted any news on here. I have been so extremely busy over the last couple of weeks, that I just haven't had time to post anything in the news section (or twitter for that matter-shame shame I know). I am going to be teaching a college web design class this semester at HSBC and am really looking forward to that. Along with that, I am creating a website for thier Associate of Arts in Media Ministry program. I will have to post a link to it once it is completed. I should also say a big welcome to Nikki Arana. She already has a website, but she wanted to update to a cms so I converted her site (which she already had) and set it so she can update it herself.

Just finished updating the online portfolio. Although it does not include everything I have worked on, it gives a pretty broad spectrum of the types of websites I have had the opportunity to work on.

When you get a chance make sure to check out two new websites that have recently been completed. The first is www.betsystamant.com and the second one is www.christianaviators.org. These were both great projects and I wish them the best on thier new websites.

I am so excited to post information about two great specials. I have a Website Stimulus Package to help during the rough economic times. This if for someone who doesn't have a website, or wants to switch their hosting to me. The second special is just for ACFW Members (and their friends). They can use the discount on a website redesign project, or in combination with the Website Stimulus Package. Really a great deal for someone starting out. It would be great if several people took advantage of the discounts I am offering right now. They expire on April 30th.

I know I post a lot about the Hobe Online website on my twitter account (www.twitter.com/mrjw) but it is for good reason. We have been making good progress on the needs of the school and I believe we are not only helping the school, but through their website and online studies we are reaching and helping many more individuals. It is jobs like this, and others as well, that make me feel blessed to have an opportunity to use my talents for the glory of God.

Colleen Coble had a special project where we took her site (which I developed a few years ago) and converted/transferred it to a content management system (CMS). Took a little longer than I expected, but it is basically done now.

Released and made live www.hobeonline.com. This was a website redesign project, and although not technically complete, I am so excited to announce that it is now up and running. I love that feeling when we make a website "Live".

Released and made live www.taegais.com. Taegais Publishing is a company run by the author Amy Deardon. I have worked with her in the past on her personal website and it has been a great privilege and honor to again work with her on this new website.
